Now with that first point out of the way I would also like to bring light to the fact that of the 76%, 84% are violent crimes and 47% of those result in the death of a minor. Now I can understand some saying that their children or even that they themselves would not commit these crimes and while that may be true for many that is not the point of this law, the point is to also prevent casualties from occurring in the case of one of these events by ensuring that the victims are not on the scene to begin with. Of course large gang related crimes and murders aren't always super likely to happen but that doesn't mean that minor infraction crimes do not happen. A study done at the Maryland Institute of Crime Analysis and Investigation found out that when teens left with others their age they are 90% more susceptible to manipulation. It has also been proven that problem solving functions are slowed, meaning that they are more likely to commit a minor felony or to do something stupid.
