Decision making. You use it with every single thing you do or say. D.A.R.E teaches us to make the right decision. Like not to smoke. This is extremely important because if a one make a really bad choice, such as drinking and driving, the there is a major consequence, sometimes costing someone's life. This is a serious problem. I can tell just by looking at the news that most teens do not understand this. I look at the news everyday, and I can see that poor decision making can ruin people's life. That is why dare is such an important thing in children’s lives.
There are four steps in the D.A.R.E. Decision Making Model, Define. Assess. Respond. Evaluate. That is the D.A.R.E decision making model. The first step is to define the situation challenge or opportunity. Then, access the choices by thinking it over and running through the outcomes. Third is to respond by making a choice the outcome you found , information and outcomes you assessed. Finally, evaluate by reviewing the decision, asking if I make the best choice and what I could do better if faced with the decision
