Why Did David Move To Philistia
David joined forces with the Philistines because he had an interest of the people at heart while he acted as a bodyguard for the Philistine king (Tullock and McEntire, 2006). David's decision to move to Philistia was due to him believing that he would be destroyed by the hand of Saul if he did not escape the land of the Philistines. He felt that Saul was truthful with his offer of reconciliation. David and his 600 men army and their families, crossed over to King Achish in Gath. He wanted Achish to give him one of his countries. In return, David was rewarded Zilkag due to him killing Goliath, murder 200 Philistine men as part of the dowry agreement he made with Saul to marry Michal, pretended to be insane, and killed all the Philistine in Keilah.
