Why Did I Go To Jail For Life?
Laying in that freezing cold bed. Thinking that my hand would have to be amputated. The agony and pain running from my hand to my head. Hours of waiting and waiting for a doctor to walk into the room. Still having the thought ponder in the back of my head that I would go to jail for life because of what I have done.

Soon the police arrived, he stepped out of his vehicle and walked up with a court order to put us out and to remove anything from the property. My little sister was crying, till this day I wonder did she really know what was going or

He looked back and shook his head no. I told him he needed someone that he can trust and that has his back. Because whatever he was about to do was going to be some insane. I ran to my room to put on some shoes. Right then and there I prayed to God. I asked him if he could protect us from anything bad that would be the effect from what we were about to do.
My dad yelled and said what's taking so long back there. I jumped up and ran to get in the truck. We took off as soon as we got down the street I noticed we only had a half of tank of gas left in the truck. So whatever we were going to do it had to be quick and fast. My dad finally spoke he told me "Whatever goes down today never ever tell my mom". I looked at him and said no matter what I got your back. We drove down all through town just looking. Like I actually mean we were just looking at things.
I thought to myself he hasn't told me how much money he needs to come up with yet. So I asked him "Dad how much money we need to stay in our house". I could just tell it was going to be a lot. He finally said it "$4,500 dollars". I was so shocked it would be impossible for a person to come up with that kind of money in one day. So we kept driving, I noticed that a lot of the house we were riding by were just being

Questioning the reasons for being stuck in this jail, I began to rethink what had just happened. How did we imprison each other for a situation we had not executed? Gazing out of the window, I began to recollect what had just happened to us. Our youths have been compromised as we have been sentenced to lengthy terms by the court system. While the African-American community is supporting us, it’s disturbing to see that the rest of New York has believed that we have done this horrendous crime and their main leader, Donald Trump, wants to reinstate the death penalty as to get the justice we deserve. As we sit here serving this alleged crime, we hope that our supporters will remember us as the innocent teens falsely accused, rather than believing…

We were so happy, I started explaining to her where we were, how the place looked like and that there was a big garbage can, as I explain tears dripped from my eyes. We hugged each other, cried, and stayed put right next to the garbage can. We finally saw my mother’s silver BMW car. We slowly walked towards the car, making sure that it was my mother or one of our parents are in there. I then saw my mother did something with her hand, I know what that meant to hurry up, I told my little cousins to hurry up and get in the car, we ran as fast as we could towards the car and got in. Since then my little cousins and I learned a very big and important lesson that we will never forget, it to your pacings with your family, close and to tell them that you need a break if you are losing your…

“Y’all deserved what you got for disobeying the law.” This is the reason I hate policemen, he was being so rude! I don’t even know what Darrel was thinking when he said that! After that, it was mostly a blur, I remember a man in a black car driving us home. I now know how dangerous that was, and would never do that again. Once we got home my ankle was hurting even worse and I couldn't walk. But this is the part that surprised me, when my dad got home, he didn't yell. He hugged Ally and I tighter than he ever had before, and told us everything was okay and he was glad we were safe. More blur, because I did my very best to forget about this, but I remember taking a hot shower and being absolutely terrified that the shower was gonna flip over. And some (a lot) of post-traumatic stress disorder, in the car ride to the Orthopedic doctor. Once they had a thorough examination of my incident, they came to the conclusion that I had a ‘wicked-severe’ case of…
