Since slavery has been created, it became a very important process for the South so when the more free states disagreed with slavery or wanted it to stop expanding, empowered South's decision, started battles that later then led to the Civil War.
The first battle was “Fort Sumter” in April 12, 1861. This was a border dispute that started with the South first opening gunfire located at South Carolina.
