It is clear to see the precedent of our country has been that black lives don’t matter which raises the question if they do.
So let’s talk about why blue lives matter. Blue lives matter because they protect the peace, uphold justice, and keep the world moving as safe as possible. Police officers are people who risk their lives everyday for the well-being of the citizens of America. Not only are police officers our personal community heros, but they are everyday citizens as well. Just like every other lives, they matter. Except black lives of course. Police officers rarely get profiled or targeted because of their race. They don’t have a harder everyday life because of their ethnicity.
They even get to make and break the rules from time to time. On the other hand, a black
American, lives everyday in fear of their loved ones or themselves having a horrid encounter with the police. It’s not everyday a police officer is wrongfully accused, arrested, and incarcerated for a crime they did not commit. Now switch the roles and imagine that everyday a black person does. Don’t imagine to hard because it’s already a reality. So the question isn’t do black lives matter more, it becomes do they matter at all?
So to recap it all, both black and blue lives matter equally, technically. But if the question is which movement has more meaning and structure the answer is obviously the Black Lives
