Mrs. Rivera This political cartoon means a lot of things to the political world mainly in America. This was during the 20th century in America. What this cartoon shows to me is that people are not getting the rights and wages that they earned in the respected amount of time. People are always on a tight and strict schedule. The 8 hour day may reduce the amount of time people served and higher wages. This was the belief that the Unions had believed. People had served too much time for very little pay. The Unions went on strikes to enforce this law correctly and for people to follow this law again. People only should get 8 hours for work. 8 hours for rest. 8 hours to be with their family and do whatever they will. If this were to be enforce earlier many people would have not suffered from the dangers and deaths that had occurred in the work days. People needed money to take care of their family, if the place where they worked had wages which were high they would be able to take care of their family with much more safety. At the end they got a minimum of 12$ a week for the amount of time they worked on an average weekly basis. The technological and economic growth innovation also lead to problems and crisis because the never devices remove peoples jobs and the amount of work they did. People could have lost their jobs due to the economic growth because there were now machines and other inventions that would minimize the work needed and only a limited amount of workers to run each system. The technological innovation also lead to more injuries. There would be more injuries because people in the United States would have to run machines which someone can get their hand or clothing stuck in it causing injuries. Lastly the
