Why Do Teens Wait To 18

Many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive at because of safety concerns. Some believe that 16 is to young and that it’s dangerous to let someone that young drive. Many also believe that 16 is a good age and it will make certain teens more responsible. I believe teens should have to wait until 18 to drive because teens will be more responsible, teens will have more experience while driving, and less teens would get into crashes.
One benefit from having the driving age go up is responsibility. Many teenagers would become more trustworthy waiting until 18 to drive. Certain situations would be handled better and less accidents would occur. Some teenagers are extremely immature and could easily cause a wreck by not paying
Having experience can help certain teens through difficult situations. Teenagers benefit by having more time because they could see how to deal with a situation. If a teen got involved in a wreck most 16 year-olds wouldn't know what to do, so if they were older and had more experience it would help the whole situation. Not only would this lead to less accidents, it would also lead to many situations being solved quicker with less complication.

Changing the age will not only benefit with experience, it will also prevent less crashes and accidents. Teens would have experience and they would learn more information about driving. I have seen certain things involving crashes that said more than half of the crashes that happen involve a teen. I just believe certain teenagers don’t take driving as serious and dangerous as it is. More teens should be aware of how dangerous driving is and how it should be taken seriously. Although I believe that teens would benefit from changing the age, many people believe 16 is a great age to start. Starting at 16 will give teens more responsibility and some would find independence from it. Many teens would also gain experience by getting a job or having certain places to
