Why Does College Matter?

Why does college matter? Is college important for us to go to? How can college help us with in life? College is important because if you go to college you could major in more things.Also, college matter because the next generation that happens will go to college because they will follow their footsteps. People with college will be able to have the rights to vote for others. More likely to be informed about politics. A college education will determine income or wealth in determining who is informed and engaged. People with college degree will work more with charities. In part it’s because they have more time to help them , but it’s also because college is when young people encounter meaningful diversity and think seriously about their commitments.
What does college means to me ?
College means to me that you will get a better job because you will have a better education.If you go to college the employment will increase or decrease over the period of time. I know that the employment would increase because in the text “The case for college “ it says “ student who graduate from college can expect to make about 60 percent more than those who do not , well over a million dollars more.”(Faust,paragraph 7). This quote means that you would make more money than the person who did not go to college.Also, I know that if you go to college you will make money. In the text it shows me that you will make more money by telling me “ a typical college graduate was not only more likely
to find a job than a high school graduate , but also made $21,000 more as a salary. “(Faust.paragraph 8)
If you go to college you will be able to find their passion. college could help you find your passion by determining what you will love to do in life.College will lead students to career paths that they never imagined for themselves since they went to college to find what they love or weren't even aware of what they had a passion for. So, even if you know what courses you want to study, even if you already have a possible career in mind, stay open to new opportunities that you never thought about doing.Finding your passion is important to college because if you begin college you will already know what you want to do , want to be and how much money that you will make in life doing what you major your passion in. This benefit could also help you with increasing your employment in life , or the salary that you would have on making in life. when you graduate from college, you will have a better chance of doing what you love. When you value money over your overall health and your passion, you will find yourself in an endless cycle of misery. If you do not do what you like to do your work no longer becomes a career or a journey, but it would something that you will like to go to each day of your life. Also,Every day that you go to work with this mindset you begin to hate your job more and more. While many people feel that they must work hard to retire and have money to enjoy themselves, They will work harder at work because they will like what they do in life because they have a passion for doing what they like to do since they major to find their passion in college. I know that this is important because in the text it says “ college will take you to a place that you never been before “ ( Faust , subtitle ) . This quote means to me that if you go to college you will also discover new , but you will find a passion that you will like to do in life since that you went to college.
