Why Dogs Need Pets
Dogs need toys to stimulate their minds; stimulating their minds aids them in relaxing. If they cannot relax, they have too much tension which causes stress and misbehaviour. Toys are also essential for encouraging active play. If a dog does not have a toy or item of distraction they are more likely to be destructive. It is a little different for puppies. For puppies, they need toys to soothe the misery of teething and separation from their litter mates. Dogs with toys are ecstatic, relaxed, have a passion for play, interact with their owners, and are not as destructive.
Correspondingly, if dogs are played with, trained, and exercised they build a closer connection with their owners and a desire to please. Dogs that have a bond are known to be happier, healthier, more relaxed, and better behaved. Bonded dogs are loyal, loving, and more protective of their owners and therefore seek more affection from

One reason dogs like to cuddle is it provides warmth, so the colder it is the more cuddle time they will desire. Winter time is more of a time for cuddling for dogs as the temperatures are lower, but in summer months, a reduction in cuddling may occur as dogs get very hot and too much connect creates more heat. Another reason dogs like to cuddle is it gives affection. Cuddling with dogs is one way to strengthen their bonds with the owner and gives them a sense of closeness, love, safety, and being a part of the family, or in their eyes the pack.
Dogs also love to fetch. It is a natural instinct, it has been ingrained in their mind to fetch for tens of thousands of years. Fetching also makes dogs feel good about themselves and a sense of accomplishment as it intingual and most dogs are already good at it. Who has not seen a dog carrying a big stick and stepping with such pride that they got it? Fetching is also good for quality time with the owner and the dog, while at the same time reducing their energy
