why go to school
Many students look at going to school as a waste of time. Children and teenagers perceive going to school as a daily repeating chore and only go because they are forced to. Some students get so fed up that they will even skip school just to escape the boredom. Many students wonder if getting a good grade in school will really help them in the future, or that going to school in general will help them. So, is going to school really worth it? The answer is yes. Going to school is incredibly important because it provides you with basic education that you need to survive in this consistently updating world, but also gives you advanced knowledge for your future education or future career you may wish to pursue. But by going to school you also learn one of the most important, if not the most important life skill; which is how to socialize and communicate with others.
Yes, school can feel tiring at times and even make you want to fall asleep, but that doesn’t mean that you should ignore going to school and skip it. Research by Getschooled.com shows through a survey, that as many as 7 million students, about 15% of the K-12 population skip school regularly, and the study also points out that students who skip more than 10 days of school are significantly (about 20%) less likely to get a high school diploma, and they’re 25% less likely to enroll in higher education. So, just by doing something as simple as skipping school, could jeopardize your future and could have you end up working in a job which barely pays for your basic necessities because you did not go to your classes in school and were not able get into a higher education.
Teenagers are constantly being told that they need to have a good education in order for them to be happy in their future life; by having the career they want to have and not have to settle for any other. As many children and teens will not listen to this piece of advice, and probably not understand what this means until they experience it

All children are required to graduate high school, but pursuing higher education is only recommended. While high school curriculum is designed to prepare students for higher education, students learn essential career readiness skills while enrolling in higher education classes. Since students are not obliged to pursue higher education, many students who decide not to continue their education lack the skills necessary for future careers. While some schools hope to implement career readiness for either all their students or for only the students who do not wish to pursue college, other schools do not want to offer career readiness programs as they believe that it offers incentives for students not to attend college. Schools should require all students to take career readiness classes as…

“My reasons for college are probably just like everyone else’s. I went to college because I wanted a better life for myself and better myself. I wanted to find a job that I would not be living paycheck to paycheck like my parents had to do when they first got married. I mean, no one wants to live that way? I know for a fact that I did not want that, and that is why I choose to go to college, even more than is the main reason why college was so important to me. Another reason, both my parents didn’t go to college but have archived success in the new world‘s eyes, I believe children from a young age watch and look up to those in their life. Such as word ethic and things like that, yes, they’re times that even with a terrible person to look up to that person becomes a hard working because they want to be the opposite of that person, sadly that does not happen too often. Plus I get to play one of my favorite sport which is track and field.…

Why am I attending college? I enrolled in school for a few reasons. First off I was told that to get a Five Rating (the highest rating) on my next Enlisted Performance Report would have to have completed or be enrolled in college. So in order to keep myself on a strong footing for promotion I needed to head back to school. Second, I am looking to better myself not for a performance report but for myself. Completing college is something I’ve wanted to do for a while now. At my previous assignment I worked many long hours which made it impossible for me to attend school or have much of life for that matter. So now with my new assignment and much lighter work load I no longer have the work excuse. I originally went to Community College after I graduated high school but left in my sophomore year to join the Air Force. I planned on continuing once I was in and did initially but school took a backseat to other things. So in order to correct the errors of my youth I thought would give it another try and see if I can do better as an adult.…
