Why I Attend College

The more I think about why I am starting college I do not know myself maybe I took it because it was the next step right after high school or I want to have a successful career and have a sturdy income. Also, it could be that I saw my peers starting college and wanted to know what college is. Another big element is my ethnicity because my uncles, aunts, and family members all went to college and they are either in the medical or in the engineering field they expect the same from me. They also keep on asking me what I am majoring in even though I don’t know myself I say I want to be a doctor and it’s the answer they are looking for. These are the factors that are connecting me to college currently.
Since this is my first semester in college I have plenty of goals to accomplish. I want to meet new people, join clubs and make good grades to pass my classes. Another goal that I have is I want to find a vocation that is suited for me; something I love with a passion. When I decided to take this class I knew it would be hard because English wasn’t my forte. I know I don’t have knowledge to pass this class without trying and who wants to fail the class that they are paying for; not me. So, in this class I want to pass with a B or higher and get the credit while learning the objectives of this class. I have worked hard to get where I am;
I know I must work hard and do this with honesty and integrity. Many people have looked down at me for not being the brightest cookie in a jar. I have never been a role model to my brother since my younger sister always outshone me and I have always been shadowed by my sister. I want to make my parents proud by graduating college and I want to be a role model to my brother. By this determination I have no plans on dropping out of college it is not even an option if I fall I will get back up and try again so I am planning to finish college and then I am going to show the whole world my
