Essay (Required)
Throughout high school, I had always envisioned myself in attending Texas A&M. There are still some extra steps I need to take but I know what my goals are and I’m going to do whatever it takes to achieve them. I know it’s not going to be simple but not impossible. My parents came to this country to work hard and better their lives for my brothers and me. My dad works too hard seven days a week and I look at how tired he is all the time. I want to be able to go to school, pursue my dreams, obtain my dream job and help other people. I want my parents to see that them working so hard and coming to America and leaving their entire family was worth it. I want to witness the happiness in my dads face when I walk across that stage at Texas A&M.
No one in my family ever went to college. I would be the first to graduate from a university. And so summer was ending and fall 2013 classes were about to start, I decided to attend Collin County Community College for a year to start my college career. After finishing up the spring semester there, I knew that going to Blinn College in Bryan, Texas would be a greater motivation for me and a step closer to reaching my goal. …show more content…
I wish that I would've taken high school more seriously, but now I have a chance to prove myself at this university and I plan to work very hard, dedicate myself achieving good grades, and a high GPA. I knew that striving for high grades would be essential in order for me to achieve my goals. I have learned that the most important values are discipline, dedication, and determination, which I have.
