Why Hipsters Are Heroes Summary
Despite its complimentary title, “Why hipsters are heroes” by Caitlin Moran is actually an attack on the sub-species that doesn’t fall far from other forms of discrimination such as racism or sexism. The author conveys a tone of unaware-hypocrite, pretentiousness, and overall hatred on par with that of a Donald Trump speech. When the author describes hipsters as attention-seeking lunatics, because they push the societal level of archness, she accidentally categorized herself into her description of a hipster. The author’s casualness towards those who happily spend half an hour imaging the best way to kill a hipster may actually be even more lunatic and unorthodox.
