Why I Love Hunting Persuasive Essay
Sabrina Bryan once said “You can do anything as long as you have the passion, the drive, the focus, and the support.” I think that my passion for hunting all leads back to my father showing me how to hunt and supporting me to keep pursuing this sport as I have gotten older. I have been hunting with my dad since I was eight years old. Although I have been hunting for that long, I did not harvest my first animal until I was thirteen. There are so many reasons to why I love hunting, but some main reasons are connecting with nature, hunting with family and friends, and the passion for hunting. A lot of people discriminate us hunters because all we do is “harm” or kill animals, but to us it is more than just the harvest. Each and every one of us love being out in the great outdoors and getting to communicate with the birds. I love sitting in …show more content…
There is nothing better than seeing birds dump into the spread that you thought about over and over again. On the other hand, there are countless hours of preparing for hunts to getting no birds at all. Even if the expectations are low for that day we still go out and chase these ducks and geese. It is the drive and addiction for hunting that keeps us going. Personally, hunting is a lifestyle for me. People say that hunting is just a hobby, no to a lot of us it is our passion. They also think that hunting is easy, again they are wrong. The amount of preparation that goes into this sport is unreal. Another thing is you have to be in pretty decent shape because sometimes you are walking two miles or more just to get to your blind. There are millions of questions you ask yourself so many questions when getting ready for season, like how many decoys should I run this year? Should I make a new blind? How should I set up the spread this year? Then when you are setting up you put everything together concealment, wind, decoys, and

The extensive preparation required to be a successful bow hunter is indeed an adequate challenge. Unlike hunting with a firearm, someone cannot walk blindly into a deer stand and stand a chance at harvesting a deer. One must prepare. The preparation should begin with finding a bow that “fits” the hunter, one they are comfortable with. Things must be adjusted to suit the one who will be hunting with it. Things like the draw weight which is the amount of weight require to pull the bow to “full draw” so it can be shot. After this, the hunter should practice shooting this bow to develop proper form and muscle memory well before season. Not only must this be mastered, but the hunter has to be comfortable shooting from different positions such as sitting down or standing up. But Wait! It gets better! One must know which positions are acceptable for the deer to be in for an ethical shot to be taken. For example, if a…

Like Bass, I like to hunt and kill whatever is in front of me. When I was a little girl, I always looked forward to hunting session to come around to go to deer camp. I would wake up early every morning to go sit in the stand to watch for deer. In the morning it seems like it takes forever to find your stand after walking up and down the mountains. Once I got in the stand, it was also hard to not talk and be quite to hear the deer walk up.…

Hunting is a popular entertainment in the United States and particularly in the state of Texas. Roughly four percent of Americans are hunters, and their family members are generally supporters of hunting. In Texas, nearly eight percent of people, along with some of their family members, participate in and admire hunting. Many states issue licenses for hunting and allocate certain forest areas for hunters. During the hunting seasons, hunters, some with their interested family members as well, flock into designated areas, shoot and kill such animals as deer and birds, and enjoy the practice. From their viewpoint, hunting is a source of…

So men and women have been hunting since before they even became people. The oldest kind of hunting may be persistence hunting. You just keep chasing an animal until it is too tired to run anymore. Then you come close and stab it with a sharpened stick. People are good at this because we are good at sweating, so we can cool off enough to keep running.…

I wake up early, bow hunting is well worth getting up early. You can use a crossbow or a compound bow, i use a compound bow. I shoot a mathews but some people shoot other products like Hoyt, Diamond, Bowtech, PSE, or Bear archery. There is so many smooth shooting bows and for me there is nothing better than shooting a deer with a compound bow. Ethics of Hunting

To my family, and myself, the idea of hunting means that food is going to be on the dinner table. It means that we are going to kill an animal, butcher it ourselves, and eventually eat the meat of our harvest. It is an appreciation of the wild animals; the ones placed on this Earth to roam the hills and graze the grass, rather than the ones grown in barns and factories. It means utilizing every part of that animal to our best ability, and wasting nothing. We even go as far as to donate the brain and heart of the deer to the local high school for use of dissection in science laboratories. We appreciate the animal in every way we can. It has given us everything (literally) that it has, and we will respect this animal for a time far longer after it’s depart from Earth.…

    The Great Outdoors

Not only is hunting an exhilarating experience but so is the feeling of being surrounded by wilderness. During winter times since I was 12 years old, my father would take me out on long drives in the middle of winter to hunting sites just outside of Edmonton. What made the drive not seem so long was the scenic route we would always take. Every once in a while I would see little white rabbits hopping around and leaving miniature footprints all in the snow next to the road. Further down the road we would pass a fairly big hill that had two pine trees at the top of it. I always wondered how long they had been there considering the fact that they were over thirty feet high. Finally we would get to the hunting ground and make are way down to a little patch of brush where we would crouch and wait for the deer to pass by. The feeling of the cold snow crunching under my boots, the frost covered branches of the bush we were nestled under, and all the little footprints that surrounded us gave me a feeling of unity with nature. After hiding in our spots for a long while, usually until my feet and toes were completely frozen it seemed, my father would whisper “Here comes one right now”. A few moments later I’d hear a loud bang and we’d be back on the road with our trophy and bragging rights. We have carried on this tradition every…
