One night, we got very swamped, and there were about twenty tables in the restaurant. The newest server was talking to another employee, the person that was doing the dishes. The two of them got into an argument, the server got upset, and proceeded to punch him. The manager needed to deal with the situation, which prevented all three individuals from doing anything in the restaurant, whether it was dishes, serving, or doing manager things. Meanwhile, in the front of the restaurant, we were down to two servers, and twenty tables. Between myself and one other server, we managed to keep everyone happy, despite some tables getting disgruntled for various reasons.
