Why I Want To Be A Game Warden
Career Essay

I have chosen to write my essay on becoming a game warden. A game warden spends a lot of their time outside and handle situations that involve the safety of wildlife. Game wardens use transportation, such as boats and land vehicles, to keep an eye out to make sure hunters and fishermen are obeying the laws of the state. Being a game warden is a privilege and should be taken seriously, as the life of the wildlife and the environment depend on a game warden to do his or her job correctly. Also, enforcing the laws also keep patrons safe, such as making sure that they are going under specified speed limits and not driving under the influence. All in all, I would enjoy becoming a game warden.

The topic I choose for my essay is how bow hunting is different than gun hunting. Hunting in general is one of my favorite things to do. Getting everything ready for archery season is a lot more time consuming than it is for gun season. Bows take a lot more practice to get set perfectly for a great aim. Guns are more easily sighted than bows. Bow hunting also take more strategy and patients because you have to wait on the deer to get closer to you. With a gun you have a farther range to shoot. Also the location of your stand is different with bow hunting. You have to make sure you have open places with to branches covering your shooting area. Gun hunting you can shoot threw brush and small limbs. There are so many differences in bow and gun…

Completing this research paper on two careers, a forensic practitioner and baker has changed my plans dramatically. After researching the career as a baker I now know that that is not a job that I would want to pursue. As a baker I don’t feel like I am making much of a difference, baking a cake or bread will not save someone’s life. I want to make a difference in life and help people. Becoming a forensic practitioner I can do that. I found more excitement in researching that career. When I think about choosing a career, I feel it must be something that I could see myself doing and enjoying for the rest of my life. Working in a lab and seeing crime scenes amazes me! I learned a lot of things about both careers. A baker takes his/her time to create products to perfection. They work long hours and have great career advantages. A forensic practitioner works mainly in a lab, sometimes alongside police officers. All of the expectations that I had for this project were fully met. I was pleased to have the opportunity to research both careers, now I know what career fits me and which one doesn’t.…
