Why I Want To Be A Nba
When I close my eyes and consider my future, I can see myself standing there on a basketball playing for a professional nba team. I can feel the energy and the excitement in the air. Fans yelling stadium rumbling just absolute mayhem. However after i open my eyes i realize thinking about something like that is too much. People don't realize when thinking about something like, its odds of getting is close to nothing. There's so many people in the world that could be so much better than you. Ultimately when setting goal people should be more realistic and choose a job that is possible to do. If people make their goals unrealistic they could seriously hurt themselves in the long run. There are some natural born athletes and then there are some people that are just born not to play professional sports. There are so many people that could play in the professional but you can't just wake up one morning and say oh i'm gonna be a nba player they have to work on that from high school up until they are drafted into the nba. People who wait till their college career to decide to get into the nba aren't gonna make it. So if you plan on making it into the big leagues in any sport my advice would be start young. …show more content…
Business owners and scouts could go get someone with more experience. People need to realize that when someone says you have your whole life ahead of you that doesn't mean wait to the last second to decide on what they are going to do with their life. I believe people should at least know what they are going to do before they get out of highschool. Society is getting harder and the population is growing which means there are less and less jobs out there for people. This means people have to train to be the best that they could

While everyone else is screaming about the quarterback who just scrambled for a touchdown on fourth-and-seven, that guy at the end of your row may be pondering a different number -- a 3 percent agent's fee on $20 million in guaranteed money, perhaps. . Money hungry, sneaky, dishonest, unscrupulous. These are words that some athletes would use to describe a sports agent that they’ve had bad dealings with. Even a casual football fan has seen the impact of that scramble in the run-up to the current season. This past summer, universities across the South found themselves embroiled in controversies regarding player agent relationships, and one coach -- Nick Saban, of national champion University of Alabama -- angrily compared some agents to pimps. A good agent can help a professional athlete attain financial and mental stability during and after his career. An incompetent or dishonest agent can ruin an athlete’s playing career and threaten his financial security for years afterward. I aspire to be a great sports agent in the field of football with hard work, hands-on experience, dedication, and perserverance.…

Everyone remembers being a sixth grader with those lockers that wouldn’t open and the school that was like a maze. Now this is our school and we are the big dogs. That is what growth is. I set goals is sixth grade and I succeeded and I did the same thing in seventh, now I am still setting goals because without goals you will stray of course. The goals I set for myself involve making the honor role getting into the Medical Science program at the Freehold Boro High School. This will be tough because many other people will be going for this program not only in this school so I will have to work very hard to reach my goal. I will achieve this goal by working hard getting good grades and doing the best I can on those tests. I will work hard in all my classes to get great recommendations and that will definitely help me succeed. Outside of school I play football, basketball, and lacrosse.I set high goals in each of these sports. In football only the top 3 teams in each division get into the playoffs, I want the team I play for to make it into the playoffs. In lacrosse I play defence so my goal for most games is to not let my man get by me and score goal. I am not very good at basketball but that doesn't make my goals easier to schive, I like to get at least 6 points a game. These are some hard goals to achieve but I believe that with the work I put in I can achieve these…

As the young and naive children we were, adults always told us to never give up on our dreams. This statement usually applied to the impractical dreams of becoming president of the United States, transforming into a superhero, or playing alongside professional athletes. These were all big ideas and aspirations that fueled our carefree childhoods, and were appropriate practice for shaping the paths to our true passions we discover later on in our lives; particularly in high school. High school is where teenagers are able experiment and begin to understand themselves as individuals, rather than what everybody else likes to do. Of course there are exceptions to those who are the “followers” rather than the “leaders”, but I’d like to claim I had…

Since I was 7 years old, basketball has played an integral part of my life. I have devoted countless hours to not just a sport, but a passion, an outlet; to the game that I love. When I arrived at Bow Middle School as a fifth grader, my classmates and I would always look up to the 7th and 8th grade middle school basketball teams. Every year during winter carnival, the boys and girls teams would play a game in front of the entire school. Playing in that game became a dream and a goal of mine, but first I would need to make the team. For three years I developed my basketball skills, using my passion for the sport and desire to play in that game as motivation. When tryouts for basketball in 8th grade drew near, I knew I was ready. However a new coach would be at the helm this year. Our new basketball coach was also a coach for the youth football program. This resulted in numerous football…

Robert H. Goddard said, “It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow”. When we are in pre-school, we are asked what we want to be when we grow up. Our answers were things like an astronaut, doctor, veterinarian, and a rock star. These people were heroes to us, and they were what we dreamed to become. We dreamed of helping others, and we dreamed that we could be anything that we wanted to be. We were creative and imaginative, so we let our dreams run wild and free. No one told us that we could not be what we wanted; instead we were encouraged to chase those crazy dreams and let nothing get in our paths. Today, it is the complete polar opposite. Now when we are asked what…

I used to never think about my future in my past, but now I have begun to think about my future once I moved to the USA. Ten years ago, I was in middle school, and was a kid that only wanted to do homework after school, eat, watch television and play with friends. I was a kid that did not care about the future and, if you had asked me what I wanted to be, I would have simply answered that someday, I will be a racecar driver. Now, I am able to clearly imagine the position I want to be in ten years.…
