Why I Want To Be A Registered Nurse

My career choice is to be an R.N. (registered nurse). For starters, registered nurses (RNs) are not limited to working in hospital settings. RNs can also work in clinics, schools, assisted living facilities, homes, and more. They can also specialize in areas such as cardiac care, midwifery, family practice, geriatrics, labor and delivery and emergency nursing. Basic registered nursing duties: Nursing responsibilities can vary greatly depending on the healthcare setting. But in an average day, RNs might administer medication, consult with other healthcare providers, monitor patients, educate individuals and family and be responsible for managing medical records. They must also stay up-to-date with new tools and technology to help provide the best care to patients and families, and the best support to doctors and other healthcare professionals.
takes a few years of college (4-8 years) so in about 12 years I should be out of college and starting my career as an R.N. At this point in time I will most likely still be in the state of Mississippi. I am not sure if I will move out of this state or somewhere else in the state in the future but I will be attending S.W.C.C. (South West Community College) so I know for sure I won’t be going anywhere until I graduate college unless I get a scholarship.
The reason I chose this as my career choice is because my mom is my #1 role model and one of the few people I look up to and she was an R.N. She made a high yearly salary which allowed us to live in a nice home, with nice clothes to wear, and always have food to eat. I never go without because we always had the money to buy whatever I needed or wanted. And this is why I choice an R.N. as my career
