Personal Statement: A Career As A Registered Nurse
It always been my dream to be a Registered Nurse when I was a little kid. I have been loving and helping other people at the same time from my left to right side. I think being a Registered Nurse is the right choice where I could help and care people or maybe save life of someone dying. This is the path where I could start my future life as my career. The topics that I will be covering in the research paper are the nurse salary and qualification, education and training, opportunities and location where you could find work and the job outlook for this job. Most medical field job are responsible with different kinds of things. Being a registered nurse takes a lot of patience. Registered nurse are responsible keeping up the following things such as; dressing up wounds and incisions, medical records, review patient treatment plans and measure progress, evaluate and record patient symptoms and many more. From what I heard, state laws govern the nursing practice, which is just patient needs that determine a nurse daily job activities. Experienced nurses responsibilities have changed a lot. Nurses today are highly respected and valued as members of the health care team, who bring their own body of knowledge to the process of health care.
To become a registered nurse, there's a lot of choices to choose from.
A student wants to pursue nursing can go to an approve nursing program to get license as a nurse, and then they go to a university or community college to get the licenses as being a registered nurse. Normally, undergraduate students will go to school for a diploma in nursing. Nursing career or school is the most common way to get license as registered nurse because is hospital based school like. To get a degree in nursing has two ways. The first degree is going for Associate's degree in nursing. Associate's degree in nursing takes two or three years to complete. This degree can get in community college or an approve nursing program. The second degree that you could get is Bachelor of Science in Nursing also known as B.S.N. Bachelor of Science in Nursing only offered in four year universities. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing prepares graduate students to experience the full scope of professional nursing practice in all health care
field.
Compensation depends on level of education, experience, location and the type of facility.The average salary for registered nurse is roughly around 65,000 dollars a year which is about 33.00 dollars in an hour. Experience registered nurse with advance education can earn 80,000 dollars or more. The highest paid state in the United States is California. Registered Nurses in the state of California get paid yearly about 95,000 dollars annual salary. Hawaii is second top highest paid, next with Massachusetts. The lowest registered nurses can earned average salary of 45,000 dollars annually.
Overall, this job is very in demand today. Employment of registered nurses is projected to grow 16 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than average for all occupations.
