Why I Want To Be An Odp Essay
Since my early stage of life, I have always had the ambition to pursue a career in which I would be able to help and take care of individuals; turning into AN ODP would have always been my dream. Operating Department Practitioners works with surgeons, anesthetists and theatre nurses in which they carry out safe and secure operation. I do know the role can be very challenging and demanding and sometimes can also be fulfilling and satisfying still which makes me believe my passion for ODP can be fulfilled. To be a good ODP, you have be sensitive, caring, and observant, have communication skills in which should be verbally and non- verbally. I Know ODP is a very challenging job which requires reliability, time, flexibility, good time management. I am a caring, compassionate person and I am also good in team work, I have ability to react quickly, and calm under pressure, I have the capacity to deal with people from different background, age, race, disability and difficulty.
I studied Access to higher education in nursing, midwifery and health related issues, my chosen course in college has helped me in relating with individuals from different background with difficulties and understanding that there are individual differences. I work as a health care Assistant in different hospitals which made to have confident to work effectively under

Patients admitted in our wards always come from A&E during in which they come for surgery and also for post observation after having surgery done.
