Why I Want To Go Back To School Essay

There are several reasons why people choose to go to school. Perhaps their parents encouraged them to go or maybe they wanted to enter a career that requires a degree. Each student has their own motivation for attending college which is what makes it so special. Personally, I decided to come back to Florida Southwestern after two years for a couple of reasons.
This past year, I found myself in a stagnant part of my life. I was in a career in banking that no longer gave me the satisfaction that I believed was an important aspect of a job, nor the salary that I needed to support myself. I began searching for new jobs that might be more exciting and challenging for me but every single ad that was interesting to me was out of my league. Without a simple associate's degree, I was
Most of them tell me how much they regret not starting or finishing school. I put myself in their shoes and thought about how I would feel ten years from now. Would I regret not going to school? I did plenty of 'soul-searching' and concluded that my answer would be 'yes'. I believe that being educated is very important. College can help you discover a career that is compatible to you, and people who don't get the opportunity or don't take that opportunity to go to college miss out on this.
My third and reason for coming back to school is strictly revolved around me. I want to feel confident in my abilities. I want to feel like I am an educated and productive member of society. These days, it seems that those who do not further their education by going to a college or university are looked down upon by prospective jobs. I want to be the person who shines at every job interview; the person that everyone wants on their team. I feel that without an education, people will not see me as who I want to be seen as and I will not let that happen if I have the ability
