Leaving home to go to Canada was probably one of the hardest decisions I have ever made in my entire life. I went to the Tip Top Lodge where I met a man named Elroy and I told him the story of how I got drafted into war. I also informed him how I have been thinking about fleeing to Canada to ensure not being drafted into war. Elroy told me that he would help me and take me to the border of Canada so I can flee. It was breaking my heart seeing it struggle, but I knew what I had to do. I pulled out my knife, stabbed the squirrel, and threw it in my bag. This is my food for the day, I have to savor every bit I get because food never came that easy. About twenty feet ahead I ran into a small stream, the water was mercy but it will do. On my way back I came across a stick that is about six feet long, and the wood was nice and thick. Once I got back to my spot I started the fire then built a nice rack that I could cook my meat on.
