When I was in high school, I made a lot of unfortunate choices, which resulted in extreme consequences. Instead of staying home on Friday and Saturday nights, I chose to go out and party. While making these choices I considered the factors of getting pulled over while drinking and driving, what would happen if my coaches found out, or what would happen if I got into a wreck. All of these factors went into my head while making these terrible choices, but I just brushed them off and didn’t really pay no attention to them. Until, it was time for a drug test, even tho I never smoked marijuana, I was around it at parties. After spring break, upon returning to school, the principal saw me in the hallway and called me over. At the time I was involved in many extracurricular activities: varsity volleyball, varsity soccer, varsity cheerleading, and I was about to be inducted into National Honors Society the very next day. When I went up to my principal he informed me that I failed my drug test because I tested positive for THC. Shocked at the news, because I’ve never even smoked before, I told him how is that even possible. Owning up to the consequences, I faced termination in all of my extracurricular activities for the rest of the year. Upon moving to Austin in the Fall, I am debating on wether or not I should work full-time or just part-time. The factors I will consider, is if I work full-time then it will take longer to graduate college, but I would be getting a greater sum of money. In which, I can use to pay my bills, rent, and college. If I only work part-time, then my paychecks would be lower, but I can attend school much more, thus I get to graduate sooner. If I could make the choice now, I would choose to work part-time, because if I work a full-time job, then I’m afraid I will settle and never achieve my career goals. By working part-time I am able to attend college and take a decent amount of classes, allowing me to graduate
