Why I Want To Obtain A Bsn

I perceive myself to be someone who is motivated by the hardships that life brings. Throughout most of my life I have been interested in the medical field. As a child, I never thought of any other career field to pursue. However, my interest of obtaining a BSN did not start here. While I was growing up, I was looking into many different pathways in the medical field, but I could not decide what was the best fit for me. Unfortunately, during high school, I wasn’t so sure if I wanted to study a career in the medical field anymore. I was discouraged by many factors that surrounded me in high school and my life in general. I began to doubt my abilities, and I kept telling myself that I was not capable of obtaining a degree pertaining to science. I let people influence me into believing that I
So far, I have met many different people who have inspired me to keep moving forward. The professors that I have encountered have done nothing but encourage me to always try my best at everything. I appreciate them for pushing me out of my comfort zone in order to discover new qualities that I have. All of the assignments and assessments that I have taken, made me understand that I have to do what is necessary to prepare myself for what is coming in my academic life, which is seeking to obtain a BSN. It is comforting for me to know that my professors see potential in me. At all times I knew they expected the same amount of effort from me and nothing less. Moreover, my family is another thing that motivates me. My mother always reminds me that in order to get what I want, I have to work for it. Nothing comes without some type of sacrifice. My brother is someone I look up to because of all the accomplishments he has made. By observing how my brother changed his life around, it motivates me to reach for my ultimate goal. Just the thought of making a contribution to health care makes me thrilled to pursue a BSN
