Being the only child for nine years and of divorced parents, I had to take care of my mother, who was diagnosed at the age of ten with rheumatoid arthritis. My mother gone through three hip replacements, and other treatments. That's when I noticed that there has to be an end to the road of her struggle. I have viewed all of the psychological barriers that one must break to push the patient to have a positive mindset to achieve victory. I have also seen physical therapists not only work with my mother, but diagnosed her as well. Growing up I studied ballet from the age of four and ended my career in January 2015. Ballet is not just movement, but it is the study of kinesiology and anatomy and physiology. My love for ballet grew my love of physical therapy because the profession is the study of movement only without performance.

Reapplying to physical therapy school has allowed me to utilize conflict resolution, problem solving, determination and perseverance. Applying through the physical therapy centralized service application in the 2013-2014 cycle I was denied to every school that I applied to.
