At the time of conception a fetus cannot survive outside of the womb. It is entirely dependent on its mother’s body. Women are more than incubators, they also have fundamental rights declared by the Constitution. Yet even if a fetus were to be considered alive, a right to life does not include nor justify the use of someone else’s body. The right to donate or refuse organs is given to people, regardless that doing so would save another human being’s life. Also, a right to life does not include threating another’s life; as child bearing is always a threat to the mother.

Personally, I believe that aborting a baby that you cannot take care of is the responsible choice, which is my opinion. If you consider this argument even further it is assuming that getting abortion is avoiding responsibility which implies that a women is responsible to bear a child if she chooses to have sex. More often than not the typical reply is that women can practice safe sex, but not everyone has access to contraceptives that easily. In addition, people from economically disadvantaged areas don’t have proper sex education.
