The creators consisted of Nixon and other black ministers. The main thing the MIA did was try and stop the segregation on public busses. In 1955 nixon would be arrested for his part in the boycott along with other civil rights leader such as MLK. After being released from jail he would also be bombarded with atackes. Nixon's bus boycott opponents to bomb his home on February 1, 1956. Fortunately he was not home at the time his attackers bombed his home. The boycott would last for 381 days. Although it came with hardship, eventually the boycott would succeed. . Despite political opposition, police opposition , threats, and their own sacrifices, the the boycott had been a success. But also like nixon's home, MlK and other leaders had assassination attempts, a month before nixon, a bomb was placed in MLKs car, Both were unharmed. After the botcott he diced to stay with the MIA, but after a few years he would fight more and more with the members of the group. He also disagreed with the leaders and thought that the MIA was heading in a bad direction. On June 3, 1957, Nixon left the MIA. He left because he wanted to protest against other injustices he saw in the country. He would then leave to advocate for lower class society
