Why Is George Washington Important To Me

One man with many women and men behind him, changed the course of America as we know it. His name was George, and the people behind him are known as soldiers. He was a normal American soldier, at least that's what he thought. He worked his way up in the military, and he then moved up from someone no one knew, to a person known by all of America. That man is George Washington. America along with his allies, his friends, and his family were all behind him.
America is fighting for victory. We need to know how we can help. One way is learning and owning our history. History is important. If not for history we wouldn’t have a future or a past. America’s past impacts every aspect of my daily life.War is a part of our past and our present and possibly our future. We need to study the past just like people in the future are going to study the people of today. We want to be known and remembered like George Washington and the soldiers who fought right next to him were remembered.
But we also learn from our accomplishments and our failures. My responsibility, your responsibility, everyone’s responsibility is to understand our history. Allow the lives of men like George Washington to live on in our aspirations. Let us carry on their ambitions.
