Why Is It Important To Obtain A Degree?

When a child is born, their parents make all the decisions for them. The child grows up, starts school, and begins making a pathway to becoming a successful adult in an ever-changing global society. However, that’s not the case with every child. Most children do graduate high school, and a majority of them attend college, but some choose to go straight to work, usually working underpaying retail jobs. Working a retail job is ok, but what happens when that job is no longer there and you have nothing to fall back on like a college degree? Obtaining a degree is one of the greatest things someone can do. An education can keep someone from living on the streets, it can give one greater opportunity, and it can help to lead a stress-free life. Many children grow up in loving nurturing homes, with people who love and cherish them. However, there are millions of children who grow up on the streets and in homeless shelters, leading a life of crime and violence; ending up in the judicial system. Although, when a person obtains a college degree, the likelihood of that person every having to live in poverty and on the streets is very slim. One will feel as if their life is important when getting a degree because education is the one thing that no one can ever take away
Sometimes it’s the smallest things one learns that will open up the door to endless opportunities. One of the most common ways one seeks greater opportunities for themselves is through higher education. Education is limitless because there is always something new to learn.
