What is respect? Respect is an action of giving particular attention, consideration, or self regard. Respect can be common courtesy, it can be considering the opinions of others, or honoring yourself. However, most people in modern society don’t have it. Respect is taught to us at a very young age. Yet, by the time people grow up they seem to forget the feeling of admiration towards others. Throughout someone’s life they will likely be faced with millions of situations where they will have to decide whether or not they will be respectful.

You can't hear the movie, and the bright screens are shining in your face. Social media is one of the most common distractions for people in today’s society. Technology, in general, can be distracting. Although devices are helpful for communication, they have no place at the movies. At the theatre everyone's phones should be turned off or silent. What's the point of going to the movies and playing games on your device? You can easily do that at home. We should respect other people and ignore our phones.
