Communication between coworkers and patients is present daily at our healthcare environment. Absence of complete, precise communication at spots of variation is a big issue influencing the quality and safety of patient care in the present healthcare settings. Unproductive communication among healthcare professionals contributes to patient injure. In almost all healthcare setting there is a conflict in communication between the teamwork, and it can put patient safety in risk. In order to avoid this between the teamwork it is important to make a powerful professional partnership. A professional partnership is a relationship based on mutual respect to achieve a common mission while each participant lives out his or her life’s purpose (Hood, 2014). An effective communication results in a positive outcome improving quality and safety of the patient in all healthcare setting.
Healthcare professionals who take care of patients directly or not must be correctly prepared and have particular instruction and abilities in order to enhance patient safety. Higher education levels also enable professional nurses to lead changes to improve the quality of health care delivery in complex health organizations collaboratively with other professional health team members (Hood, 2014). Falls can be prevented using some strategies including visiting the doctor often to evaluate the risk of fall, doing exercises that make the legs stronger improving balance and muscle strength, having the eyes checked at least once a year to always keep the glasses updated, and making home safer reducing environmental hazards. Environmental hazards such as throw rugs and no handrails at stairs or in the bathroom should be avoided.
