For example: when Juliet said that she wasn’t going to marry Paris and going to go against her father and family, he said that she would marry him or he would disown her and she would be forced to live on the streets and she would homeless and “without” a family. Now a days if a pair of parents were very religious and had strong homophobic belief were to have a child who grew up to be gay, they would most likely disown their child, throw them out of the house, and never speak to them again just like Juliet’s father. Either way if the role was reversed, there would most likely be the same outcome. In today’s day and age being homosexual is, for the most part socially acceptable.
