Simon and Alice’s parents took the to Normandy to hide them. They spent two years there. His parents kept their little brother with them. Simon and Alice got retrieved by their father from Normandy on December 24, 1937. Simon’s father was taken again by the German soldiers. Simon’s parents got arrested. After his parents died, Simon was taught by a school master how to write and read. He was staying with a family relative that were farmers. His school master also taught him art.
