There are sundry ligament reasons to own a firearm. Most people think of gun violence when they think of firearms. While firearms have been used in the commission of immeasurable violence crimes, one must remember that the majority of citizens who own guns are not intent on committing a crime. For example, plenty of citizens uses guns for recreational purposes such as game hunting. When a person wishes to go hunting, they must obtain a hunting license. To obtain this hunting license, a person must meet some minimal requirements. Consequently, a person who is a convicted felon may not quantify for a license or to use a firearm. This demonstrates that the strict that we currently have on gun control help prevent otherwise potently violent people from legally processing firearms. People who are intent on breaking the law may not even attempt purchase to gun legally. These violators may obtain their guns from unlawful means such as stealing guns or through straw purchases. Even more stringent regulations and conditions would not significantly impact the ability of unlawful citizens to obtain ill-gotten
