Why Is Thoreau's Idea Is Impossible With The Democratic Government
Thoreau’s conception of civil disobedience is not completely compatible with democratic government. Thoreau believes in laissez-faire government, arguing “That government is best which governs least” and “That government is best which governs not at all”. While some experts like Thoreau believe in non-interference government, I believe that Thoreau’s idea is impossible with the democratic government across the world today. In United States, the government is becoming more crucial parts of our lives by being involved in multiple areas such as health care.
