Why Kobe is better than LeBron
There is a reason why the average kid in school shouts “KOBE” and not “LeBron” after he shoots a crumbled up piece of paper into a trash can. Kobe is a basketball wizard and is known as one of the greatest players in history. He is a winner and isn’t that what it’s all about, winning? Yes, LeBron might be bigger, faster, and stronger, but he lacks Kobe’s IQ and skill on the court, and infatuation for being the best. But most importantly Kobe Bryant is a true basketball warrior. It’s quite apparent that Kobe is much smarter than LeBron when it comes to basketball. He knows exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to execute it. You can ask any opposing player or coach, when the game is close, they do not want Kobe with the ball. He lives for moments like these and is known for his deadly, game-winning shots. LeBron on the other hand, is still learning how to “want” the ball in his hands for the final seconds of a close game, let alone shoot it and make it. Remember Kobe’s game-winning 3-pointer in 2009 when he banked it in over Dwayne Wade? What about when he nailed a jumper on Ray Allen to send the Celtics home with a loss? Or what about when he made a three on Rudy Gay to give his Lakers the win. But those aren’t the only game winners Kobe has had; he has 27 total game-winners. Kobe knows how to pass the ball, get passed any defender, and then finish it with finesse. Like Larry Bird said (in an interview with Bill Simmons), “If I wanna’ play to win I’d pick Kobe…If I wanna’ play to have fun then I’d pick LeBron.” “Five beats one” said Michael Jordan after being asked who is better between Kobe and LeBron (in an interview with NBA TV). He means that five championships are better than one. And though championships don’t define a player, (Because if they did, then Bill Russell and his 11 championships would be considered better than both Michael Jordan and
