Specific Purpose: To discuss the reasons of Korean popular music become popular nowadays.

INTRODUCTION

(attention getter) I. Have all of you heard the song of Sorry Sorry, which is sung by 12 Korean boys? And your answer must be ‘Yes’. But do you know how many views of this music video on Youtube? It currently has over 43 million views on YouTube, while the dance version has over 15 million views which has gained massive concern. But not only the sorry sorry gained popularity, but other KPOP songs had been clicked at least thousands views.

(background) II. So, what is KPOP? KPOP is an abbreviation of Korean Pop, which describes the Southern Korean pop music with comprises a brunch of genres songs.

(relate to audience) III. In fact, it is not hard for us to find out KPOP songs on the street. KPOP culture is getting popular around the world. Even US President, Barack Obama cited Psy’s Gangnam Style as an example of how people around the world being swept up by Korean culture. Many of us started listening to Korean music and jump on the bandwagon.

(credibility) IV. I have being a KPOP fan for five years. It is obvious that KPOP music has popped out in the world in these few years. And the numbers of fans in worldwide is increasing continuously.

(reveal purpose) V. So what is the behind reasons of the success of KPOP music industry? Why KPOP become popular nowadays?

(transition) VI. Today, I will share my views on this hot topic to analyze the reasons of KPOP being prevalent. To understand more about KPOP or to be a smart KPOP fan, you must pay attention to my following speech.
