Why Professionalism Is Important
The word professionalism can be defined as the skills, competencies, qualities, conduct and aims that characterize or mark a given profession. It captures what it means to be a professional and what is expected of them. It defines how the professionals relate and make both long-term and short- term decisions that affect their everyday life. It should also cover rational thinking in uncertain and unpredictable situations(Maister, Galford, & Green, 2012).
There are various reasons why professionalism is important and is valued. Firstly, it promotes and encourages improvement. In fact by demonstrating professionalism, benefits the company’s reputation, morale, and success. As well all people have to demonstrate this quality so as to be considered
