One reason schools should not have school uniforms is because uniforms restrict school individuality and do not allow students to express themselves. In an article called “Pros and Cons of School Uniforms” by Beth Asaff she said, “some experts believe that uniforms increases the amount of clothing parents will have to buy for their children because the children will still want and need clothing for the hours they are not in school” (asaff 8). This means that not only will parents now have to buy uniforms for their children, but they also will have to buy them clothes that they want to wear on the days they are not in school. Having school uniforms would cause families to pay a higher cost and make it harder on struggling families.
