Because teen drivers are not experienced on the roadways, their commute to school poses a danger. "The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that 1,717 drivers between the ages of 15 and 20 died in motor vehicle crashes in 2014, up 1.2 percent from 1,697 in 2013. An additional 170,000 young drivers were injured in 2014" ("Teen"). This is an alarming number. This number has the potential to decrease if students were not allowed to drive to school. There are numerous risk factors to driving, these both cause danger to the students and other drivers on the road. The school is liable for students during school hours' even if the student decides to drive off campus, this can be nerve racking to many people because of the people who do not listen. The school has to provide a parking lot for all of the students to park their vehicles during the school day. Finally, there is the risk of the students have illegal substances in their vehicles. With these points I stated I think that it is more beneficial to not have students drive to
