The Soviet Union faced so many issues that caused their downfall, if the Soviet Union was to win the cold war then most likely all of their tragic flaws would have happened to the U.S instead of them. The U.S would have faced major military force against them, a very weak, collapsing government, as well as many nationalist and communist movements, all of which the Soviet Union had faced. So let’s say that the Soviet Union had won the cold war over the U.S and communism was won over capitalism. There would have been the obvious outcome that we already touched on of the U.S failing and collapsing. The Berlin Wall would most likely still be standing today and never been torn down, communism would be powering over the world, the Warsaw Pact could have never been signed, along with NATO being formed, and the Truman doctrine could have never been created. All of these things affected the world a ton then and they still affect our world today. For example the Truman Doctrine was formed so that the U.S would help countries that were struggling against communism, so if the Soviet Union had won then this form of doctrine could have been created but it would have been switched to the Soviet Union helping countries struggling against
