many other cities can get because of how close they are to large bodies of water. Summer temperatures in Toronto can range anywhere between 20°C to 35°C. It's the perfect weather for going to all the outdoor activities and events around Toronto including Centre Island, Canada's Wonderland, the Toronto Zoo, the Beaches, or driving north of the city to experience the wonders of Muskoka and other lakes.
Fall is often a cool and rainy season in Toronto, where the view of fall coloured leaves are stunning. By mid-March, spring is in the air and the transition to a more outdoor society can be seen. Baseball season arrives in early April and the Rogers Centre (which was formerly SkyDome) guarantees and really does have a good climate for ball fans. All four seasons have something new and special to do, because of the change in weather. Secondly, the scenery and use of the many trees is essential in cities, as trees play a key role in creating healthy urban environments. Many citizens see trees as an important measure of the quality of their communities. Statistics show that of the total population, 6.1 million (60%) trees are on private property, 3.5 million (34%) trees are in parks and ravines, and 0.6 million (6%) trees are on city streets, in Toronto. Trees create a peaceful and creative/artistic looking environment. They increase our quality of life by bringing in natural components and habitats for wildlife into urban
settings. Trees also provide cool shade during outdoor activities when out with family and friends. Many neighborhoods also contain very old trees that are now used as historic landmarks and a great source of town pride. Having trees in cities really helps deflect the sunlight, as it provides shade which reduces the heat island effect that is caused by the pavement and buildings. Considering how all of Toronto is buildings, tress are very essential as they add beauty and much more. Lastly, Toronto is a good city to live in because the flat land is good for growing crops such as wheat and vegetables. Farmers need flat land to have good crops as well as vegetables and fruits to sell out. Toronto was known for its farms and had many of them. It is also easier to build houses on flat land and it is easier to travel around. Now in the day, for Toronto flat land is more essential towards buildings, skyscrapers and just getting around, because of how many stores and building there are. There are many forms of transportation in the city of Toronto, including highways and public transit. Toronto also has a broad network of bicycle lanes and multi-use trails and paths. Walking up and down hills is just not realistic considering how many people are walking on the streets every day. A research shows that around 45% of people in Toronto walk at least part of their commute. Having flat land is not only helping create less pollution but making people so much more fit as well. As you can, see flat land is a huge part of making Toronto one of the most populated cities in Canada. In conclusion, this is why Toronto is the best place to live in Canada for the three reasons that I have explained. First, the climate is something that keeps those who love the cold, those who love the sun and even those in between happy. Secondly, trees keep everyone harmonized and at peace. Lastly, having flat land is huge part of Toronto’s success and what makes many people want to live there.
