Why Was The American Revolution Important

Imagine a battle consisting of thousands of deaths that literally shaped a country. When people think of a major war with many casualties most people think about the world wars. However I believe the american revolution was the most intense and important war of american history. This 7 year fight was to gain independence from britain. Us doing that is what allowed us to be an independant country and not rely on britain. Also in this battle we earned our first ally, France who helped us overcome britain. And another reason that I think the American revolution was the most important war in american history is the fact that here is where we sort of introduced gorilla warfare to modern fighting. When America was first being colonized it relied on other countries for every modern day item. They all had to be imported overseas at a heavy price, considering that a one way trip by boat from britain to america was about 2 months. But on top of that price, the king of britain
Protests alone wouldn’t forever fix their problems though. So over the years this built up more and more until the colonies decided to cut all ties to britain. In 1776 A document was made called the declaration of independance and all major political figures of the colonies signed it. It was a signed agreement stating the colonies independence from Britain. The declaration angered britain for britain saw the colonies worth too much to just lose so they put up a fight for it. This then turned into what we know now as the revolutionary war or the american revolution. Through this fight The colonies set out to become independent from britain. And through becoming independent from britain would we then eventually become our own country the united states of america.
