Work Culture Preferences
People in every workplace talk about work culture to characterize the qualities of their work environment. Culture is what surrounds us at work all of the time. Culture is a powerful element that shapes our work enjoyment, work relationships and work processes. Ultimately, our work culture is made up of all of the life experiences we bring to our organization.
My work culture results consisted of high powered occupations. Jobs that are demanding and offer a great deal of career development and advancement as well as the ability to learn new skills are well suited to me. In addition, I thrive in a culture where I am able to do different jobs or work in different places and look for positions that are high salaries and offer rapid promotion. My ideal work environment is definitely one that is safe and comfortable. I enjoy working in a well-designed work space with all on the necessary resources to do quality work.
Finally, my results tell me that I prefer to work in a close knit team and enjoy working closely with customers and suppliers. I find comfort in working with friendly and supportive colleagues in a cooperative and sharing atmosphere.
Knowing my ideal work environment helps me determine the appropriate channel for communication by helping me identify the people I want to communicate with. Selecting a communication method and how to tailor that method to meet my needs as well as my target’s needs offers me an opportunity for feedback which is key in my success.
My results tell me assertive communication is the most desirable and productive behavior for success. Through assertive communication I am able to get what i need with being respectful of the needs and rights of my team members.
