work-life balance
Subject: Work/ Life Balance

What is the most important thing in your life? Family, Love, Money, career, or Heath?

I think the answer will be different for different gender, ages, and situation.
For most people over 30, I think the majority would say Career is the major focus.
Yes, this is understandable and reasonable. Career somehow brings us recognition, satisfactions and wealth. We need that to support our living, without that, we can’t do what we want to do.
But while you focus on your career, concentrating on your work, do you realize your physical & psychological statuses are under high continuous pressure over a long period. And unfortunately, you are probably unaware of it until one day; the situation turns to very bad. That’s something no one want to see happen. So, tonight,
I would like to REMIND all of you of the IMPORTANCE of MAINTAING A WORK LIFE BALANCE and I’m going to suggest something that YOU CAN DO to ENABLE just that.

There are many things we can do to release pressure: some people like listening to music, viewing fine art, handing out with friends for a drink & meal, cooking, reading and for ladies, we would say shopping. Yes, all of these are very good for relaxing. For me, besides shopping, I like doing exercise.

Everyone needs a health body. Doing exercise not only helping us to BUILD UP MUSCLES & KEEP FIT. It can help us to release our INNER BEING. And forget work for just a while. So, I do different kind of exercises regularly.
A couple years ago, I started with a gentle actively. This is Yoga. Yoga can help us stretch our muscles, balance our body and control our breathing. It makes our mind back to PEACEFUL CONDITION. Regular practice brings JOYFULNESS to myself. This is one of the BEST BENEFITS an activity like yoga, can bring for both men & Ladies.

If you think Yoga is only moderately aerobic, you are considering a more energetic AEROBIC ACTIVITY. Then, I would recommend you do another activity

I used the Progressive Relaxation Technique by taking a deep breath in and tensing a group of muscles in my body for a slow count of five, and then slowly relaxing the muscles while exhaling to a slow count of five. I repeated this for each group of muscles three times. I did this procedure four to five times a day. In addition, during stressful parts of my days I would use the same technique but only do the muscles in my hands and/or feet.…

Blindness plays a two-fold part in Sophocles’ tragedy “Oedipus the King.” First, Sophocles presents blindness as a physical disability affecting the auger Teiresias, and later Oedipus; but later, blindness comes to mean an inability to see the evil in one’s actions and the consequences that ensue. The irony in this lies in the fact that Oedipus, while gifted with sight, is blind to himself, in contrast to Teiresias, blind physically, but able to see the evil to which Oedipus has fallen prey to. Tragically, as Oedipus gains the internal gift of sight, he discards his outward gift of sight. Sight, therefore, seems to be like good and evil, a person may only choose one.…

Most of the time when people think about yoga they simply imagine contorting their bodies into strange and awkward positions in hopes of keeping themselves in shape. I have to admit that I was one of those people. However, I have come to understand that the art of yoga is much more complex than I had ever imagined.
