What do you rather do, work all your life with a low paying job or attend college and get a degree on something you like with a good pay? People often think that attending college and working at the same time is a good idea. What are the effects of working and going to school at the same time? Work, school and family will not be the same. Working while attending college can lead to many things. First, you can make money to pay for college tuition and books. Second you can afford a vehicle that will take you places like work and school. Last having a job gives you money that can help you afford all your expenses and get you thing one and thing two. Having a job can make you lose track of school Attending
school/college while working is a good but bad advantage. School is often hard, stressing. Professors tend to give you a lot of homework that is due the following day. If the work is not turned in, you will lose points and your grade will go down. Most college students work and attend class, but a research shows that seven out of ten students who work are failing classes or have low grades. Students want to work so that they can pay for tuition but after doing the math it’s pointless to do both at the same time, If you’re not getting any financial aid, It’s better to just take a year or two off and save some money first. Students who work, often tend to do the night shift. Working the night shift is always more risky since not getting enough sleep can cause you to get ill faster and be tired during class the following day. Facts have shown that students who have financial aid or work and then go to college have a better graduating ratio then the one working and attending class. Doing both at the same time keeps you away from the social life, at times you happen to be so busy that you even forget or don’t have enough time for your family. Family is family and no matter what situation you’re in, your family will always be there for you. Family understands that with college and work you will be pretty busy but they expect you to at least visit them once in a while. Your family will be there if you need money. If you can’t make the payment on your car for that month, who can you go to for help? Parents might tell you that they hate you and what not, but a parent will never let you struggle by yourself. Visit them even if it’s just a few minutes, the time doesn’t matter what matters is the fact that you took the only two free minutes you had to visit them instead of your friends. In conclusion, working and attending college is not really the best idea ever. It might bring you some income but it can lead you to lose track of school and cause you to fail some classes, even for get or not have enough time for the social life. The best way to do this is to take a year or two off, make some money then go for it. Unless you have a full ride scholarship.
