Assignment 7 “Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.” Dr. Seuss. The first quarter has passed so fast that I have not been able to feel that it is over. Maybe, that is because I enjoyed gaining a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience. Therefore, I do not cry as it is over, but smile as it happened and gave me the precious things which will be mentioned in the next paragraphs. First of all, it has given me the experience to work cooperatively with members in a group. This is what I had not felt up to the time we formed a group. In fact, I have worked as a member of a team with the other members, but none of them was for academic purposes which is why I can claim that this one has been so special. Secondly, it gave me brilliant friends, whom I suppose I would otherwise not be able to get acquainted with. In other words, through the process of working together with them I felt and still feel very close to them, as they are kind and helpful. When it comes to the struggles I faced during the first quarter, I did not genuinely see any obstacles, difficulties or any struggles. Maybe, that was because of my group members. However, I still regret not having spent more time of mine together with my group- members. Luckily, there are three individuals who know Japanese (the language that I am currently studying) very well. I could have taken advantage of this by working with them more than I did. Based on the reflection on the first quarter, I am planning to carry out every single thing that I was not able to do. Moreover, spending more time along with my team members as well as practicing the Japanese language together with them is another point which is going to draw most of my attention. Taking advantage of being given the chance to work with such people, I also want to accomplish this class gaining the highest result so that I cannot have any obstacles in front of me while trying to obtain some academic scholarships.
