School religion should be required to graduate in high school. This way people can know at an early age about other religions; this way they can go into their own lives better prepared. It would also help them with the four Questions of Life; who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going? Why am I here? Studying the basic teachings, texts, and techniques of the world religions would help the new generation of children have common ethical and moral ground to stand on. When you get down to the basics most people believe in the same one god his name may change but the point still stands. Most religions have a strong feeling to want to talk to god and get as close as you can. Many people have said that if they had opened their mind sooner to more religions they would have lived a more abundant life. On a web-site named Explorefaith.org Nick says, “First, my experience has been that the similarities are far more abundant than the differences. Second, there are strong hints in the New Testament that Jesus is reaching out to ‘other tribes.’”
Being able to know about the way you neighbor feels about the world and the people who live in it, and being able to understand what they believe in at their heart would make this world a little better. It could bring a new level on enlightenness to some people and for others it could give some people a better perspective. It would leave people knowing more and being able help at jobs in some cases; being able to know what religious people believe in can help you both get around one another to be able to compromise knowing what you’re actually talking about.
Wouldn’t it be nice to know how to speak to another person and be able to speak to the on almost a different level. Humans yearn for knowledge, and having more is better. Learning about all the different religions can be a huge up-side in life. Plus, the way people believe in something that fully without a second thought is kind of amazing. Don’t you think?

“Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful,” (Seneca). Religion throughout the times has existed for people to possess a sense of purpose and the urge to seek impossible answers. Religion is not challenged by its adherents for God’s will remains absolute. For this reason, throughout history, many totalitarian governments have regulated what their subjects had the right to believe in. Anything that is believed to be higher than themselves proved possibly dangerous to their supremacy; so throughout history, religion has been an absolute tool used in their favor. In fact, this notion effortlessly applies to both novels, Brave New World (Aldous Huxley) and 1984 (George Orwell). Both pieces…

Religion is important in establishing diversity in our country and in instilling morals in different collective groups. However, in the past there have been some questionable attempts at spreading the knowledge of religion. For example, the treatment of the indigenous people during the time of the residential schools in Canada. This was anything but compassionate and welcoming. Times have changed a lot since then though and now different religions seems to be more accepting of other’s beliefs. Through being accepting and understanding, it seems that religion improves our quality of life here in Canada. Although sometimes things may take a turn for the worse, overall, I believe that our society is better off with our many different belief…

Over seventy-six percent of the adolescents in America believe in a personal God (Regnerus). Despite this fact, the stigma surrounding the debate of separating school from religion mostly brings religious talk in education to a stand-still. Religion has presented itself in society for as long as history has recorded life in societies, and many individuals still practice their faith. In today’s society, however, teachers and educators rarely mention religion outside of Social Studies classes in public school systems. Yet, science has proven that allowing religion in lives affects and improves the quality of life. Public schools should allow religion because the presence increases test scores, results in better behavior, and leads to an overall happier life.…

If there were a curriculum based around religion, it would most likely be about Christianity and that is bound to make certain people uncomfortable and forgotten. The bottom line is we all do not worship the same god(s)so it would be ridiculous for the government to take preference to one over the other because of all the differences between all religions. If church and state were to mix it would be a major setback in the social and scientific community's with all religions convinced that their god or gods are the true god or…
