Introduction
In the recent months my kindred doled out gathering accomplices and I have been cooperating on an exploration extend. The six members comprised of, Tifany Lenoir, Shanae Mackey, Elbony McMiller, Ritul Patel, Kandi Robinson and I; we all collaborated on Minimizing Employee Burnout within Wyndham Vacation Ownership (WVO). Groups are for the most part created to accomplish a goal or objective as a unit. In our case we chose Ritul’s organization, Wyndham Vacation Ownership. As is expected in any team the work load is divided among peers according to the members’ areas of expertise. A group “is two or more individuals interacting with each other to accomplish a common goal” while a team is a “mature is a “mature group that shares a common purpose, responsibility, and accountability when achieving goals” (Ivancevich, Konopaske and Matteson, 2014). Several characteristics are shared between groups and teams, like “composition, status hierarchy, roles, norms leadership, and cohesiveness” (Ivancevich, Konopaske and Matteson, 2014). The team establishes a synergy over time with through this aspect, which exceeds the work if done individually in a group. A status of hierarchy usually is set up by the attributes of a peculiar role due to “such factors as job seniority, age, or assignment” (Ivancevich, Konopaske and Matteson, 2014). Apart from our team leader as a role, Ritul was second in charge. Since he is working directly under WVO helped the team with the necessary research. He was always willing to above and beyond to assist Shanae and team with any of our assigned parts.
Knowing our personal work experience background our group structured has solidified. The expectations and behaviors of current members were well established and respected. I can agree that the procedures and function of group structure was indeed similar as described in our book. Our positions were well established along with our multiple leaderships. We have tried to limit and avoid the norm conformity. Norm Conformity is when we have a certain individual with a set skill and capability performing “significantly below his or her capacity so the group norms are not violated”. Luckily everyone contributes equally and made the tea environment very manageable and we got the work accomplished in ample
